As of April 2025, IRCC reports that 83% of applications are being processed within the standard service times. However, some delays persist, especially in paper-based PNP streams and overseas family sponsorships.
To address this, IRCC plans to transition 90% of applications online by 2026 and expand AI-supported triage systems to streamline case processing without compromising fairness.
