Canadian Immigration News was born in 1996 and has become the world’s largest Canadian immigration news website.
Back then, Canada’s immigration department was called Canada Immigration, or “CI” for short, hence why we named our website CI News. While the department’s name has changed to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), this website remains steadfast in its mission to provide trusted, authoritative, and timely updates on Canadian immigration.
